Pamela Anderson ‘excited to work with Liam Neeson’ in Naked Gun
The reboot of the spoof police comedy The Naked Gun has received overwhelmingly positive responses from early screenings, with many critics hailing it as one of the funniest films in years.
Liam Neeson takes on the lead role as Frank Drebin Jr, the son of Leslie Nielsen's original character, supported by a cast including Pamela Anderson, Kevin Durand, and Paul Walter Hauser, plus cameos from Michael Bisping and Cody Rhodes.
The film was directed by Akiva Schaffer, with Seth MacFarlane as producer, and the screenplay written by Schaffer, Dan Gregor, and Doug Man.
Critics and viewers lauded the film for its relentless humour, with some reporting they laughed to tears and others noting its high joke-to-minute ratio and refreshing approach to comedy.
The Naked Gun is scheduled for release in cinemas on 1 August, building on the success of the original film trilogy and the Police Squad! television series.
