How Jeremy Clarkson is keeping farm running after poor harvest
Kemi Badenoch meets Jeremy Clarkson in his pub
Jeremy Clarkson has admitted that funds from his TV show Clarkson’s Farm are essential for keeping his Diddly Squat farm financially viable, following a "disastrous" harvest.
Clarkson described this year’s harvest as "catastrophic," expressing concern for food supply and noting that most farms lack the financial lifeline of a TV show.
He also indicated that the farm would not survive without extending his business empire, such as by taking over a rural pub.
The farm recently suffered an outbreak of bovine tuberculosis (bTB), which has prevented the buying or selling of cattle for two months.
This bTB outbreak is the latest in a series of setbacks for Diddly Squat farm, which has also faced climate-driven disasters and a "shocking" harvest due to heatwaves and drought.
