Penny Lancaster ‘didn’t feel supported’ by MasterChef bosses over Gregg Wallace claims

The BBC is in a Masterchef crisis following a string of scandals
  • Penny Lancaster, wife of Sir Rod Stewart, revealed she felt "ashamed and belittled" by Gregg Wallace during her 2021 appearance on Celebrity MasterChef.
  • Lancaster claimed she also lacked support from the show’s production company, Banijay UK, at the time.
  • Sir Rod Stewart previously criticised Wallace on Instagram, accusing him of humiliating his wife and calling him an "ill-mannered bully".
  • Wallace was sacked in July after an investigation upheld multiple allegations of misconduct, including one of "unwelcome physical contact".
  • Following his sacking, Wallace apologised for any distress caused but has since filed a High Court legal claim against the BBC.
