Barcelona line up transfer for €30m-rated Manchester City full-back Angelino
Left-back spent second half of the season on loan at RB Leipzig
Barcelona are interested in signing €30m-rated Angelino from Manchester City as part of Ronald Koeman’s rebuilding project.
The 23-year-old spent the second half of the season on loan at RB Leipzig, helping Julian Nagelsmann’s side to claim a third-place Bundesliga finish and progress to the Champions League semi-finals.
Angelino’s Leipzig loan deal included a €30m option to buy and City are willing to entertain offers around the same valuation from other clubs.
Barcelona are yet to submit a formal bid but Koeman is looking to reinforce his squad having taken over from sacked Quique Setien earlier this week.
Angelino re-joined City from PSV Eindhoven last summer in a £5.3m deal, having only left the Etihad during the summer of 2018.
The Spain Under-21 international failed to establish himself as a regular starting option under Pep Guardiola and could now leave City on a permanent basis for the second time in two years.
